• Outdoor Games & Equipment – You can find the Pickleball paddles and balls, the basketballs, and croquet on the shelves in the game room
• Hot Tub Safety/Rules: The hot tub is for guests 25 and over only. Alcohol is not allowed near the hot tub. You are not allowed to use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol, or you are pregnant. Use the hot tub AT YOUR OWN RISK.
• A Note About Shield Bugs
In the Pacific Northwest, shield bugs (also known as stink bugs) are common, especially in forested & mountain areas like ours. They’re drawn to the trees in the area & may occasionally find their way indoors. Please know this doesn’t reflect on the cleanliness of the home — we have regular pest control & do everything we can to prevent them. It’s simply a part of being surrounded by nature & we appreciate your understanding as nature occasionally finds its way indoors. Thanks for your understanding!
• Pool Safety Notice
The property has a gated pool area with a child safety lock and alarm. Please keep a close watch on children — they are not allowed in or around the pool without active parent supervision. This is a strict safety rule to keep everyone safe.
Pool rules are posted for your reference. Please familiarize yourself with them before use. The pool is only 4 feet deep, so no diving is allowed. Also, no alcohol or swimming while intoxicated, and no glass containers in or around the pool area.
We want you to make wonderful memories here and come back again and again — thank you for helping us keep the pool safe and enjoyable for all! Use Pool at YOUR OWN RISK.
• Important * Pool is not heated, and we do close it down for fall & winter. The dates of opening and closing do fluctuate based on the weather. If you are planning to stay with us during the fall &/or winter and the pool is an amenity you are looking forward to enjoying, please reach out to see if it will be open during your stay. This is the guest's responsibility.
• Koi Pond Safety
We’re proud to share our beautiful koi pond and waterfall with you — it’s a peaceful feature of the property. For everyone’s safety, please do not feed the fish, climb on or around the pond or waterfall, and always supervise children nearby. Thank you for helping us keep it safe and enjoyable for all!
• Say Hello to the Chickens
We have chickens on the property in a large enclosed pen — feel free to stop by and take a look! You're welcome to collect a few fresh eggs in the morning. Just please be careful not to let any chickens out while opening or closing the gate. Enjoy!
• On-Site Resident
There is a resident who lives in a separate apartment on the property, well away from the main house. She comes and goes as usual but has no involvement with the guest space. It won’t affect your stay, privacy, or parking in any way — just a friendly face around from time to time!
• Outbuildings Notice
There are a few outbuildings on the property, including a large workshop. These areas are not part of the rental and may contain equipment, so we kindly ask that guests — especially children — stay clear for safety reasons. Thanks for your understanding!
• Friendly Neighbor Reminder
Our neighbors are wonderful and have a few dogs on their property. You may hear them bark occasionally as you come and go — just part of the neighborhood charm!
• Road Access Info
All neighborhood roads are paved, making access easy year-round. There is one steep hill coming into the neighborhood — during winter, it can occasionally get snow or ice. While 4WD is not usually needed, it can be helpful in those conditions. That said, we've always managed just fine without it. Just something to be aware of in snowy weather!
• We provide a starter of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry pod, dishwasher pod, hand dishwashing soap and a variety of K-cup coffee and some tea. You may need to buy more.
• If you want coffee beans you will need to bring them…we provided the grinder
• We do not send maintenance to the property during your stay. Only after you depart.
• The fee for failing to vacate by check out time (11am unless owners agreed in writing) is $200.00 dollars for the first half hour and $300.00 for each subsequent half hour that the guest fails to vacate the property.
• Pets are not allowed. You will be charged $400 if you bring a pet of any kind and you will be asked to leave and no refund
• No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control.
• Condiments, spices (beyond salt/pepper and olive oil) are not provided
